Super 8 By Wyndham Austin Downtown/Capitol Area Motel

The queen room was comfy enough for our stay. It had useful amenities like a microwave and fridge, great. The decor was pretty dated, and the bathroom felt a bit cramped. I noticed some cleanliness issues like dust on the floor. Breakfast was decent, though! Cozy overall but don't expect luxury vibes.

Decent Stay with Room for Improvement

The location proved convenient for exploring downtown Austin. Enjoyed the clean, spacious suite with three queen beds that comfortably housed my family. The pool was closed , and there were cleanliness issues in the bathroom. Consider improving the attention to detail for a better experience.

This hotel was set in a central area really close to centre of Austin, downtown activities including 6th St/ Capitol, and center. I found Cheer up Charlies offering shots and different drinks 1 km of the venue.

As for me, the area was not great.

perfect low budget hotel with excellent value, we had a comfortable stay. the venue was set in a central area adjacent to restaurant, the airport in 15-20mins, and minutes from capitol.

I had a king room included with nice photos as well as 3 queen sized beds. There were a microwave oven and a fridge in the room too. The location was magnificent and brilliant, for example, a showcase museum was not too far from the hotel.

The location is fantastic, just a short distance from downtown. The queen room was clean and had a microwave and refrigerator. I appreciated the attentive staff. Breakfast included make-your-own waffles, a nice touch. A solid stay 😊

Was only 15 minute walk from Sixth Street district

Firstly, staff informed us when we checked in that if we stayed another the night the rates would go up by more than 50%, was not a weekend but we were told 'the game' was on the next night as justification for their blatant profiteering. We thought we'd check the room first before committing to another night ... The walls were paper thin, neighbors on both sides decided to take showers at 12am and 1am respectively. The bathroom was a disgrace, could manage lukewarm water only, was big clumps of hair on the bathroom floor. Decided to move to the other Super 8 up the road which hadn't put it rates up for the next night, and the experience was 100% better. Avoid this motel

It was close to downtown and had free parking. It also had a continental breakfast, which was limited but nice to be offered.

The cleanliness of the room was average at best. Even though it was a 3 queen room, space was extremely limited. This was simply a place to sleep for a few hours after an eventful night on the town.

We had a comfortable stay in this reasonably priced hotel. We have booked king room with nice photos, good facilities and AC for 4 nights.

Clean room with microwave and refrigerator provided. Breakfast options were very limited, just basic items with no coffee.

Location was only five minutes drive from downtown. Price was good. Desk employees were friendly.

Lack of towels. We had 4 people in our room yet there were only 3 towels. I went to the desk for more and they didn't have any clean ones.
